Corporate FinanceThe Houlihan Lokey Corporate Finance business has extensive expertise in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, activist shareholder and takeover defense, and other related advisory services for a broad range of clients.

Associates are given substantial responsibility and are encouraged to help grow our business.Associates work on transactions that provide exposure to various services, including M&A, private placements of debt and equity, refinancings, and leveraged buyouts.ResponsibilitiesAs an Associate, you will:Prepare, analyze, and help explain historical and projected financial informationCreate financial modelsCoordinate and perform business due diligencePrepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches, and other materialsValue companies and businessesLead the planning and execution of marketing engagementsBuild relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, professional advisors, and other stakeholdersSupervise junior staff members in financial analysesAssist in the marketing and planning of engagementsRequirements / QualificationsFluency in German and English required (verbal and written)Strong Bachelor’s degree or equivalent3–5 years of M&A experience, or alternatively experience within transactional services, consulting, or corporate developmentExperience in the Industrials sector is favourably regardedFundamental understanding of financial valuation methodologies and their applicationsAdvanced financial modelling and analytical abilities; strong LBO and DCF modelling skillsStrong qualitative and quantitative research skillsUnderstanding of financial statement analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitationsStrong knowledge of ExcelIndependent thinker and resourceful problem solver driven to succeedStrong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to multitask are crucialMotivated, with a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing, demanding, but ultimately rewarding environmentAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentNote to External Recruiters / Search Firms: Houlihan Lokey does not accept unsolicited resumes and will not pay for any placement resulting from the receipt of an unsolicited resume.
