Senior Linux Storage Engineer NAS/NFS/SMB (m/w/d)
Position type: Permanent, full‑time (40 hours), flexible trust‑time model
Location: Leipzig, with up to 4 days of remote work per week and approximately 10% travel required

Responsibilities
• Analyse and resolution of technical incidents in day‑to‑day operation while maintaining agreed service levels
• Development and continuous improvement of file‑service solutions and operational processes
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of Linux systems supporting central storage solutions
• Conduct performance analyses, optimising systems and producing technical documentation
• Plan and implement data migrations during capacity expansion, system optimisations or modernisation projects
• Advance internal automation using Shell scripts, Ansible, interfaces and PowerShell
Qualifications
• Solid IT education with relevant work experience
• Completed training in an IT environment and several years of practical experience
• Excellent knowledge of Linux administration
• Experience with central storage solutions and ideally knowledge of Ansible, Nextcloud and Grafana
• Prior exposure to container‑based platforms is an advantage
• Structured and independent working style
• Excellent German language skills and technical English for daily work
• Basic understanding of IT service processes and day‑to‑day operational procedures
