Posting Details Posting Number: 0603775 Position Title: Part Time Trainer: Corporate Training Position is: Part Time Position Type: Staff Position (Full Time/Part Time) Department: Workforce, Economic, & Community Development Salary/Hourly Rate: $50-60 Posting Date: 11/04/2025 Position Description Our college strives to make a positive difference in people’s lives through accessible and excellent educational programs and services.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Provide course instruction and demonstration in an in‑person and/or online class setting. Develop learning plans and appropriate content based on participant needs. Communicate with multiple stakeholders including participants, community partners, and program manager.

If teaching online, work with IT to set up and maintain a professional and seamless presentation of virtual classes. Support the stated mission, goals, policies, and regulations of WCC. Support and abide by local, state, and federal laws that affect the College. Attend a mandatory orientation session and complete online compliance training.

Participate in Free College Day biannually. Teach live in‑person or online for all scheduled class sessions and respond to participant questions and feedback. Complete and return all official course paperwork in a timely manner.

Keep abreast of developments in the field of specialization and/or instruction and propose new classes annually to Program Manager. Prepare, develop, and/or revise curricula based on WCC goals and guidelines, as needed. Submit required course outlines, textbooks, instructional materials, and orders for supplies in a timely manner.

Assist in marketing of all assigned classes.

Utilize technology, including AI‑enabled tools and software where appropriate, to support the effective performance of assigned duties, enhance productivity, improve communication and information management, support decision‑making, and other responsibilities, while ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements, institutional policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Other duties as assigned. Hours / Schedule Hours vary based on class schedule(s). The terms of employment are based on class enrollment. Minimum Qualifications Must be willing and able to teach virtually if online, while maintaining the high‑quality class experience expected of in‑person classes.

Must have demonstrated skills or experience in instruction for adults in a professional development area. Must have demonstrated ability to develop curriculum relating to these categories and best methods to teach these skills to multi‑generational age ranges. Must be available to teach during various times, including evenings or weekends.

For Social Work Continuing Education classes ONLY – Minimum Requirements: Must be a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Michigan and/or hold a Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) from a CSWE accredited social work program. Preferred Qualifications No additional preferred qualifications specified.
