Remote Corporate Compliance Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and ethical Remote Corporate Compliance Officer to establish and maintain robust compliance programs within the organization. You will be responsible for developing compliance strategies, conducting risk assessments, implementing controls, and fostering a culture of integrity and ethical conduct throughout the business. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive corporate compliance programs and policies.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and identify potential areas of non-compliance.
• Oversee the investigation of compliance-related issues, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, including data protection, anti-bribery, and industry-specific standards.
• Develop and deliver compliance training to employees and management to promote awareness and understanding.
• Monitor changes in legislation and regulations, updating policies and procedures as necessary to maintain compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CRCM) is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate compliance, risk management, or a related legal field.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs in a corporate environment.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant South African and international compliance regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders remotely.
