About the Role

Our client, a premier corporate catering service, is looking for a highly organized and creative Remote Corporate Events Catering Specialist to join their national team. This position is fully remote, focusing on the planning, coordination, and flawless execution of catering for corporate events across various regions, including support for operations in Pretoria, Gauteng . The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in corporate event catering, a keen eye for detail, and exceptional client management skills. You will lia in close collaboration with clients, sales teams, and operational staff to ensure seamless delivery of bespoke catering solutions. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong logistical planning abilities, and a passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences for business clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing all aspects of their corporate event catering needs from inquiry to post-event follow-up.
• Develop customized catering proposals, menus, and event plans tailored to client specifications and budget.
• Coordinate logistics with on-site operational teams, ensuring timely delivery, setup, and service of food and beverages.
• Liaise with vendors, venues, and other service providers to ensure seamless event execution.
• Conduct site visits (where feasible or virtually) and client meetings to finalize event details.
• Manage event budgets effectively, tracking expenses and ensuring profitability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during event planning or execution in a timely and efficient manner.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new catering concepts, and best practices in corporate event management.
• Maintain accurate event records, client information, and feedback reports.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of catering services and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning, catering coordination, or hospitality sales, with a strong focus on corporate events.
• Demonstrated experience in menu planning, proposal development, and budget management.
• Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently, manage a demanding workload, and meet strict deadlines in a remote environment.
