Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert legal counsel on complex corporate finance transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
• Oversee corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, shareholder agreements, and statutory compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of commercial agreements and transaction documents.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, risk management, and dispute resolution strategies.
• Manage relationships with external counsel, regulators, and other stakeholders globally.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic insights on evolving legal and business landscapes.
Requirements
• Admitted Attorney of the High Court with a minimum of 8 years' post-qualification experience, with a strong focus on corporate law.
• Demonstrated experience in handling significant M&A transactions and corporate structuring.
• In-depth knowledge of South African corporate legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, manage demanding workloads, and deliver high-quality results in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective virtual collaboration.
