As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway. /p h3The Opportunity: /h3 pWe are seeking an experienced, business-oriented attorney to serve as Associate Director, Corporate Counsel supporting the commercialization of our first oncology product across international distribution markets in Europe. /p pThis role will lead legal support for distributor relationships across Europe and will be responsible for negotiating and managing complex commercial distribution arrangements while partnering closely with Commercial, Market Access, Supply Chain, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Finance and Compliance throughout launch and lifecycle management. /p pAs one of the company's first European commercial lawyers, this position offers the opportunity to help build legal infrastructure, shape commercial strategy, and establish scalable contracting processes for future international expansion. /p pThis is a rare opportunity to join a growing California-based biotechnology company at a pivotal stage, helping establish the legal framework for its first commercial launch in Europe.
The successful candidate will play a highly visible role in enabling international commercialization, influencing business strategy, and building legal processes that will support future global expansion. /p h3Key Responsibilities: /h3 h3International Commercial Transactions /h3 ul liLead negotiation, drafting and execution of distribution, supply and commercialization agreements across assigned European markets. /li liStructure commercial arrangements for orphan drug distribution, including exclusive and non-exclusive distributor models. /li liAdvise commercial leadership on territory design, appointment strategy, channel management and governance. /li liNegotiate amendments, renewals, territory expansions and performance-related contractual matters. /li liDevelop template agreements and playbooks to streamline future distributor onboarding. /li /ul h3Distributor Relationship Management /h3 ul liServe as primary legal advisor throughout the lifecycle of distributor relationships. /li liParticipate in Joint Steering Committees, governance meetings and executive business reviews as legal representative. /li liAdvise on contractual performance, KPIs, forecasting obligations and dispute resolution. /li liPartner with Commercial leadership to address distributor operational issues while preserving strategic business relationships. /li liManage contract interpretation and day-to-day legal questions arising from commercial operations. /li /ul h3Product Commercial Legal Support /h3 pProvide legal advice regarding: /p ul liProduct launch readiness. /li liCommercialization strategy. /li liDistribution logistics. /li liProduct shortages and allocation. /li liReturns and recalls. /li liProduct complaints. /li liPharmacovigilance interfaces. /li liPromotional review. /li liMedical Information interactions. /li liSample programs. /li liGovernment tenders. /li liPricing-related contractual provisions. /li liMarket access support. /li liCommercial policy implementation. /li /ul pto provide practical, risk-balanced legal guidance supporting successful commercialization. /p h3Compliance Risk Management /h3 ul liEnsure commercial activities comply with applicable anti-corruption, competition, sanctions, trade compliance and healthcare compliance laws. /li liAdvise on interactions with healthcare professionals, healthcare organizations and government purchasers. /li liSupport implementation of compliance controls for distributor oversight. /li liAssist with internal investigations relating to commercial activities when needed.Escalate material legal risks appropriately while developing pragmatic business solutions. /li /ul h3Contract Management /h3 ul liManage a portfolio of complex international commercial agreements. /li liDevelop standard operating procedures for contract governance. /li liMaintain contract lifecycle tracking, key obligations and renewal calendars.Coordinate outside counsel where local law advice is required. /li liSupport dispute avoidance and resolution strategies. /li /ul h3Success Measures (First 12 Months) /h3 ul liComplete negotiation of distributor agreements supporting initial European launch. /li liEstablish scalable commercial contracting templates and negotiation playbooks. /li liBuild trusted advisor relationships with International Commercial leadership. /li liImplement governance processes for distributor contract management. /li liSuccessfully support launch activities across assigned markets. /li liDevelop practical legal processes that enable efficient international commercialization while appropriately managing legal and compliance risks. /li /ul h3Scope of Responsibility /h3 pThe role supports commercial activities in European international distribution markets excluding: /p ul liUnited Kingdom /li liFrance /li liGermany /li liItaly /li liSpain /li liBelgium /li liNetherlands /li liLuxembourg /li liAustria /li liPoland /li liNordic countries /li /ul pCoverage includes distributor-managed markets across Central, Eastern and southeastern Europe, the Baltics, the Balkans, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Ireland, and other designated international European territories. /p h3Required Skills, Experience and Education: /h3 ul liJ.D. or bachelor's degree from an accredited law school from a recognized European Institution /li liActive license to practice law in at least one European jurisdiction. /li li8–12+ years of legal experience, including significant commercial transactions experience. /li liExperience negotiating international commercial agreements. /li liStrong understanding of distribution and supply arrangements. /li liExperience supporting life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical or medical device companies. /li liDemonstrated ability to independently manage sophisticated commercial negotiations. /li liStrong executive communication and stakeholder management skills. /li /ul h3Preferred Skills: /h3 ul liExperience supporting European commercial operations. /li liExperience launching specialty pharmaceuticals, oncology products and/or orphan drugs. /li liIn-house legal experience within a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company. /li liFamiliarity with distributor commercialization models across Europe. /li liExperience advising on launch readiness activities. /li liKnowledge of international anti-bribery and healthcare compliance frameworks. /li liExperience working in a pre-commercial or emerging biotechnology company. /li /ul pRevolution Medicines takes protection and
