As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway. /ph3The Opportunity /h3pWe are seeking an experienced, commercially focused Director, Senior Corporate Counsel to serve as a key legal advisor for the Company’s midsized European markets as Revolution Medicines prepares for the launch and commercialization of its first oncology product. /ppReporting to the VP, Legal, Europe, this role will provide practical, risk-based legal advice across commercial operations, market access, competition law, healthcare compliance, contracting, litigation and external stakeholder engagement for selected midsized European markets.
Together, these roles create a clear split of responsibilities: /pulliMidsized Markets Counsel: Legal support for selected European midsized markets, including commercial operations, market access, competition law, litigation, local legal issues, and business partnerships. /liliDistributor Markets Counsel: Cross-border commercial contracting and governance for European distributor markets outside the company's direct affiliate footprint, with responsibility for negotiating and managing distribution relationships. /li /ulh3Key Responsibilities /h3h3Strategic Business Partner /h3ulliServe as a key legal advisor to country and regional leadership teams across selected European midsized markets. /liliProvide practical, solution-oriented legal advice to support commercial decision-making and business strategy across markets. /liliAct as a trusted business partner, proactively identifying legal risks, opportunities and scalable solutions across the midsized markets portfolio. /liliSupport successful launch and ongoing commercialization of the Company's oncology portfolio in selected European midsized markets. /li /ulh3Commercial, Contracting Business Partner Support In-Market Legal Advice /h3ulliAdvise on commercial operations across selected European midsized markets, including Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Government Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Finance. /liliProvide legal support for promotional activities, field-based engagements, digital initiatives, early access and patient support programs across markets. /liliDraft, review and negotiate commercial agreements with consultants, vendors, service providers and strategic partners. /liliSupport third-party due diligence, collaboration governance and ongoing business partner relationship management. /li /ulh3Market Access Pricing /h3ulliLead legal support for pricing, reimbursement, tenders, healthcare contracting and market access initiatives across selected European midsized markets. /liliDraft and negotiate rebate agreements, market access agreements and value-based arrangements with public and private healthcare stakeholders, as applicable by market. /liliPartner with Market Access and Government Affairs to assess the legal impact of evolving reimbursement policies. /li /ulh3Competition Healthcare Law /h3ulliAdvise on European and local competition law issues affecting pharmaceutical commercialization, including pricing, distribution, information exchanges, collaborations, tenders and competitor interactions. /liliCounsel teams on healthcare professional engagements, transfers of value, sponsorships, grants and interactions with healthcare organizations. /liliPartner with Compliance to support adherence to applicable pharmaceutical industry codes and internal policies. /li /ulh3Litigation Dispute Resolution /h3ulliManage actual and threatened litigation involving selected European midsized markets. /liliCoordinate with external counsel on commercial disputes, regulatory matters, employment-related legal issues (working alongside Employment Counsel), product-related claims and investigations. /liliDevelop litigation strategy in collaboration with the VP Legal, Europe and senior management. /liliManage legal holds, investigations and dispute resolution processes. /li /ulh3Regulatory Local Legal Support /h3ulliAdvise on local legal requirements impacting commercial operations across selected European midsized markets. /liliSupport implementation of new legislation affecting pharmaceutical companies. /liliProvide legal guidance on consumer protection, unfair competition, advertising, procurement and commercial regulations, taking into account local market requirements. /liliCoordinate with specialist external counsel on complex local law matters where appropriate. /li /ulh3Cross-Functional Collaboration /h3ulliPartner with Global Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and Human Resources. /liliSupport audits, compliance initiatives and implementation of legal policies, templates and best practices across Europe. /liliDevelop and deliver legal training for country teams across selected European midsized markets. /li /ulh3Outside Counsel Management /h3ulliSelect, instruct and manage external counsel across selected European midsized markets. /liliOversee litigation budgets and legal spend to ensure efficient delivery of high-quality legal services. /li /ulh3Required Skills, Experience and Education: /h3ulliJ.D. or equivalent law degree and admission to practice in at least one U.S. state or European jurisdiction. /lili10+ years of legal experience, including significant in-house or law firm experience supporting the life sciences industry. /liliStrong knowledge of European pharmaceutical law, commercial legal issues, competition law, healthcare compliance and promotional regulations, with the ability to navigate differing local market requirements. /liliExperience advising commercial pharmaceutical organizations, including market access, reimbursement or healthcare contracting matters. /liliDemonstrated ability to advise senior business leaders in a highly regulated environment. /liliExcellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills. /liliAbility to travel approximately 10–20% within Europe and internationally, including periodic travel to the Company’s U.S. and European offices. /li /ulh3Preferred Skills: /h3ulliExperience supporting oncology or specialty pharmaceutical products. /liliIn-house legal experience supporting pharmaceutical affiliates or commercial teams across multiple European markets. /liliExperience supporting a first commercial launch. /liliFamiliarity with European healthcare contracting, pricing and reimbursement frameworks across midsized markets. /liliExperience managing commercial litigation and regulatory
