Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB) is Santander's global division that supports some of the world's most complex and sophisticated corporate and institutional clients, offering customized services and value-added wholesale products to best meet their needs.THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKESantander Corporate & Investment Banking is looking for an Analyst within the Global Banking – Corporate Client Coverage team based out of Frankfurt.As an Analyst, your mission will be to support Santander’s dynamic Global Banking team, by acting as consistent point of contact for our corporate clients as well as for our internal stakeholders globally. You will be working in Santander Frankfurts dynamic Corporate ClientCoverage team, where your day-to-day tasks will vary based on our clients needs.
You can expect to partner across product, geography and support teams to develop strategies for clients, build detailed financial models, conduct analyses, prepare presentations as well as credit packages and maintain all compliance standards.To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:Relationship management as one of the key points of contact within Santander's Global Banking team. Actively reach out and provide complete service support to clients, including solving complex client inquiries across all products and geographies of Santander. Participating in the preparation and execution of transactions for the team in close cooperation with product teams (e.g. DCM, Syndicated Loans and Global Transaction Banking). Working with different Senior Bankers and Product Specialists in creating new business opportunities.
Performing financial and strategic business analysis on sectors, competitors and customers. Redacting and delivering client presentations and supporting other coverage or product related initiatives. Preparing client business plans, monitoring performance in terms of client profitability and absolute revenue targets (involved in all internal and external aspects of transactions, e.g. client pitches, credit documentation, risk & business committees). Supporting to fulfil all required compliance and KYC standards.WHAT YOU’LL BRINGOur people are our greatest strength. Professional ExperienceAt least 1-2 years of relevant experience, gained preferably in activities related to corporate banking and / or investment banking. EducationBachelor's degree required (preferably Master’s degree); strong academic track record (preferably in business administration, finance, accounting and / or economics). LanguagesHighly proficient in spoken and written German and fluent in English. Spanish is optional.
