Who we are.
We are a global marine geoscience and technology business. We are pioneers using ground-breaking technology to study what lies beneath the ocean floor. We help energy companies plan ahead, accelerating responsible use of the planet’s resources. We provide marine seismic data, imaging products and data processing software.
Our teams offer unparalleled acquisition capability to our clients, providing them with the tools they need to reduce exploration risks and maximise their production efficiency.
This is a fantastic time to join Shearwater as we expand our teams to meet the seismic exploration challenges of the future.
Can you strengthen our risk and compliance framework?
We’re looking for a Corporate Risk & Compliance Manager to join our team.
This role is central to ensuring that risk, compliance, governance and resilience activities are managed consistently across the organisation. You will work closely with leadership and stakeholders across the business to identify risks, strengthen compliance practices and support sound decision-making.
Our teams are driven by continuous improvement and operational excellence. You’ll share this ambition by helping build a practical, effective framework that enables the business to achieve its goals while managing risk responsibly.
Technically Speaking…
You will bring experience in risk management, compliance, governance and business continuity. You will be utilising this practical knowledge to coordinate and support Shearwater’s Enterprise Risk Management framework, facilitating risk assessments, and working with stakeholders to identify, assess and mitigate business risks. You will also support scenario-based risk reviews that help improve organisational resilience and preparedness.
The role involves partnering with internal stakeholders to manage compliance obligations, monitor regulatory developments and ensure policies, controls and mandatory training programmes remain effective and up to date. You will also support governance activities relating to sustainability, human rights due diligence and business continuity planning.
Strong analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical actions will be essential. You will prepare reports for management, track improvement actions and contribute to assurance activities that strengthen our governance framework.
In personal terms…
You are a confident communicator who can build strong working relationships across all levels of an organisation.
You enjoy facilitating discussions, challenging assumptions and helping stakeholders find practical solutions to complex issues. With a structured and proactive approach, you are comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Most importantly, you are motivated by continuous improvement and have the credibility to act as a trusted partner in supporting effective risk and compliance management.
What does Shearwater offer you?
- Competitive salary and benefits.
- The opportunity to influence and develop key risk, compliance and governance processes across a global organisation.
- A promise to fill any knowledge gaps with an individual learning plan, in an environment that encourages progression.
- The chance to work in one of the world’s most exciting industries in teams that are diverse and global.
- A culture of transparency and freedom.
Curious? Perfect. We all have that in common.
